From September 13-15, 2018, the 11th symposium on sports games of the German Society of Sport Science took place in Heidelberg. Annika-Maria Rath presented the results of the study "Let's go!" - A comparison between movement time and movement intensity of students while playing basketball, soccer and Völkerball which she conducted together with Michael Kolb and Martin Dobiasch.
Focus of the study were movement time and movement intensity of students while playing basketball, soccer and Völkerball. The results showed great differences within movement time, movement intensity and average heartrates. The different games allowed the students a broad margin of individual participation, therefor results a heterogenic level of movement activity.
